Our focus...

Our goal is to provide the best solutions for our customers, providing whatever level of service they require: from supplying components only, all the way up to a fully integrated control installation at the customer site.  We are not simply a control integrator.  The CNC system is completely our own design - from the motion control routines to operator displays.  The hardware implementation of the control is flexible as well, with options for operator devices, digital I/O, servo amplifier and spindle interface.  We are a complete CNC solution provider.

Our history...

SIEB & MEYER USA started in 1972 as a division of General Automation (GA) with one of the first microprocessor-based CNC controls on the market, the "GEN 1 Adapt-a-Path", and became a leader in milling, turning, and high speed drilling applications with our unique 'zero following error' axis control algorithms.  In the 1980's we were sold to Acme-Cleveland Corporation, and became known as PMC Electronics.  During this time , we designed the PMC-400 series of CNCs for many special applications: piston turning, laser cutting/welding, water jet, tire mold tread engraving, and others.  As a division of Klingelnberg and Dynamotion in the late 1980's and early 1990's we became more deeply involved in printed circuit board machines with the PMC-500 series of controls, while exploring new metal cutting markets for CNC, such as multi-spindle lathe configurations running multiple program streams.

The PMC 9 CNC combines powerful & reliable hardware with efficient, easy to operate software.  The hardware is designed in Germany, and represents everything you would expect from German engineering and reliability.  The software for the control is written in the United States, by the same core group of engineers that have been with the company since our early days with General Automation.  Our experience with a variety of machine tool types combined with a new control interface and SIEB & MEYER's powerful hardware platform gives us the unique capability to provide effective retrofit solutions.
